  • Production Era: These watches were primarily manufactured in Japan from 1988 until 1996, when they were succeeded by the Seiko SKX series. 
  • Movement: It features a 17-jewel automatic movement (caliber 7002A) with a date function, but notably lacks a day function, hacking, or hand-winding capabilities. 
  • Design:
    • The case is similar in dimensions to the later SKX models, typically around 42mm in diameter (excluding the crown). 
    • The dial markers are applied, providing a sense of depth compared to the printed markers on some other models. 
    • The JDM variant is specifically identified by the "17 Jewels" text printed on its dial. 
  • Water Resistance: It was rated for 150m water resistance, featuring a screw-down crown for enhanced sealing.
  • Bezel: The rotating bezel is bi-directional and typically features the iconic "Pepsi" color scheme, though black bezel variants also existed.
